The sweep on day one set up a big matchup the second day as University of Maine at Farmington pitcher Ryan Pratt and his brother Andrew Pratt faced each other for the first time in their careers on the field that they both grew up playing on. Pratt got the no-decision in the game going seven innings and giving up 4 earned runs. His brother got a cheap hit to right off him but he later retired him in two other plate appearances. The Beavers ended up winning the game in extra innings on a sac fly from Jake Bessey.

The Beavers won big in the final game of the series as Gavin Arsenault picked up the win on the mound and Chase Malloy hit a grand slam. This sweep helped the Beavers make the playoff as the four seed after being picked last in the preseason poll.
