Aguiar leads Golf Team to First Place Finish in Waterville

WATERVILLE, Maine - Senior Eric Aguiar carded a one-over 71 to finish as the top golfer and lead the University of Maine at Farmington golf team to a first-place finish at the Waterville Country Club on Wednesday.  UMF finished two strokes ahead of second-place Thomas College and 72 in front of the University of Maine at Presque Isle.

Aguiar finished three shots in front of Thomas College's Zach Gagne (74) and eight shots ahead of teammate Charles De Haas (79) to take the top spot.

Junior Justin Rodrigue carded an 83 and freshman Nate Poulin finished with an 87 for the top four scorers for the Beavers.

UMF returns to action on Thursday (Oct. 4th) at the Mariner Invitational being played at the Augusta Country Club.
