Golf Team in Seventh After Day One of the NAC Championship

WATERBURY CENTER, Vermont - University of Maine at Farmington golf team finished with a score of 342 on day one of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship being played at the Country Club of Vermont located in Waterbury Center, Vermont. The score places the Beavers in seventh place going into day two being played on Sunday.  Defending champion Husson stands in first place with a score of 307.

Senior Eric Aguiar once again leads UMF carding an 11 over 83 to place tied for 17th individually.  Aguiar finished with a 40 on the front nine, scoring one birdie. Junior Matt Pelletier recorded one birdie on his way to an 86 and is tied for 25th, classmate Justin Rodrigue came in with an identical 86 on his card. Sophomore Charles De Hass finished with two birdies on the day for an 87 and tied for 28th to finalize to top four scorers for UMF. 

Salem State trails Husson by three strokes for second place, SUNY Delhi stands in third place with golfers yet to finish their first round and Castleton University is fourth (332).
