Farmington, Maine – Hunter Michaud scores twice as UMaine-Farmington rolls passed Green Mountain on Saturday afternoon by a score of 4-0 in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play on senior day.
The Beavers move to 2-2 in the NAC and 6-5 overall while the Eagles fall to 0-6 in the NAC and 1-8 overall.
BY THE NUMBERS
The Beavers outshot the Eagles 24-1 while the Eagles had 10 saves. The Beavers had 10 corner kicks to Green Mountain's three.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Beavers scored two goals in the first half and two in the second. Nick Marshall scored the first goal at the 15-minute mark on a rebound off the goalie. Hunter Michaud scored the Beavers second goal about 25 minutes later off a pass from Christian Wallenmaier.
Michaud opened up the head second half when Thomas Dupuy sent on into the box off a corner kick where Michaud headed the ball into the back of the net.
Jon Randolph then headed one into the back of the net late in the second half to give the Beavers the victory.
The Beavers will host Castleton tomorrow afternoon with a 2:30 p.m. start time.
