Farmington, Maine – UMaine-Farmington's early goal wasn't enough to get past Castleton on Sunday as the Beavers fell 4-1 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) game on Leib Field.

The Spartans outshot the Beavers (19-7) while the Beavers had nine saves to the Spartans two. Each team was tied in corner kicks with two each.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Beavers started the scoring in the first half when Enzo Gascogne crossed one to the left side to Nick Marshall. Marshall dangled around a few defenders and found the back of the net to give the Beavers the early 1-0 lead.
Seraphin Iradukunda tied the game back up at one after an unassisted goal. The Spartans scored their second goal about 17 minutes later as Iradukunda took a shot from about 10 yards out and beat Beavers goalkeeper Matt Wilson. Castleton didn't stop there as Joel Atutor received a pass from Jacob Godfrey and scored from about 18 yards out to give the Spartans a 3-1 lead.
With six minutes to go in the first half, the Spartans scored their fourth goal from Sean Springer.
The Beavers will host Unity on Wednesday with a 3:30 p.m. start time.
