Longhurst Named Defensive Player of the Year, Heimlich, Michaud Earn All-Conference

UMaine-Farmington senior Andrew Longhurst was voted Defensive Player of the Year in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men's Soccer postseason awards.

Andrew Longhurst (Middletown, Delaware) - University of Maine at Farmington

Andrew Longhurst (Middletown, Delaware) of the University of Maine at Farmington (UMF), is the 2019 North Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Year. Longhurst anchored a Beaver's defense that logged four conference shutouts and seven overall. UMaine-Farmington boasts the second-best overall tally in goals against (25) and goals-against-average (1.37). In conference games, the Beavers allowed 13 goals (1.63 goals-against-average). Longhurst also displayed offensive prowess with three goals, including a game-winner, in conference games. He logged another goal and one assist in non-conference games, making the only penalty kick he took. Longhurst is also a member of the First Team All-Conference.

Jake Heimlich was named to NAC Second Team All-Conference as Hunter Michaud was named to the NAC Sportsmanship Team.
