Beavers Take Fifth in the State of Maine Event

Lewiston, Maine – UMaine-Farmington competed at the Men's State of Maine event at Bates College. The Beavers took fifth place out of seven teams.

Robbie Hollis got things started with an eighth-place finish in the 10000-meter run with a time of 35:11.58. Connor Marland and Jordan Fried competed in the 3000 Meter steeplechase and finished ninth and tenth while the 4*100-meter relay team broke a school record with a time of 44.96, giving them fourth place.

Ethan Solis took second place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.87 while Alfred Odon finished in 11th place out of 21 racers. Draco Peaslee took ninth place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.43 while David Doering took 13th place in the 800-meter run.

Shane Hathaway tool fourth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 58.59 while Abshir Abukar took sixth with Corey Martin finishing in seventh.


The Beavers will head to Colby-Sawyer for the NAC Championships.
