Beavers Sore Past Eagles on Senior Day

Farmington, Maine – Leah Stevens propels UMaine-Farmington past Green Mountain on Leib Field today by a scored of 2-0 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action on senior day.

RECORDS

The Beavers move to 6-5 overall and 3-1 in the conference while the Eagles of Green Mountain fall to 1-3-1 in the NAC and 4-4-1 overall.

BY THE NUMBERS

The Beavers lead by a large margin in shots (33-1) while the Eagles had 14 saves. The Beavers had five corner kicks to Green Mountain one in the second half.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Beavers scored twice in each half. In the first half, McKenna Brodeur got the Beavers on the board first in the opening six minutes when she took a shot that was saved by the goalie but Brodeur picked up the rebound and found the back of the net.

Leah Stevens scored the second goal for the Beavers about 10 minutes later. Haley Murano crossed the ball into the middle and found Stevens foot who put it in the back of the net.

Five minutes into the second half, Kaiti Kinney scored a goal on senior day that was unassisted, followed by Leah Stevens scoring her second goal.
