UMF Tagged to the 2016-17 College Team Academic Award

Kansas City, MO - UMaine-Farmington's women soccer team has been named to the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2016-17 academic year.

The United Soccer Coaches annually recognizes college and high school soccer programs that have excelled in the classroom, in addition to their work on the field. A total of 833 soccer teams (291 men, 542 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award for the 2016-17 academic year. 

UMF earned an overall team grade point average of 3.37 on a 4.0 scale. With this year's award, the Beavers have received the award five times in the last five years.
