Boyle Scores First Career Goal, Hammer Makes 15 Saves in 2-1 Game vs Plymouth St.

Plymouth, N.H – UMaine-Farmington's women's soccer team battled Plymouth State on Saturday afternoon to open their season.

BY THE NUMBERS

  • UMaine-Farmington was outshot 29 to two in the game while the Beavers had 15 total saves.
  • Plymouth St. had 10 corner kicks as the Beavers had three.
  • Callie Hammer made 15 saves for the Beavers after facing 17 shots. Cat Robbins made one save for the Panthers.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Sofia Karlsson scored the opening goal late in the first half for the Panthers after Maya Golowasch passed one through the middle.
  • Emily Boyle tied the game in the opening 15 minutes of the second half with the assist from McKenna Brodeur.
  • Four minutes later, Jordan Meier scored the second Panther goal to give Plymouth St. the 2-1 victory.
