  • Women's XC caps campaign at New Englands

    The University of Maine at Farmington women's cross country team finished its season at the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championships at Williams College today. The Beavers totaled 1,042 points to finish in 36th place. Middlebury College won the event with 58 points.
  • Women's XC places five on All-NAC squads

    Five University of Maine at Farmington runners were honored with all-conference recognition as announced by the North Atlantic Conference today. Sophomores Caitlin Miller (Pepperell, Mass.) and Salena Sykes (Island Pond, Vt.) were received All-NAC First Team accolades. Seniors Liela Banks (Swans Island, Maine) and Meaghan Champagne (Littleton, N.H.) along with freshman Rachel Huber (Bangor, Maine) were placed on the All-NAC Second Team.
  • Women's XC wins fourth straight NAC crown

    The University of Maine at Farmington women's cross country team won its fourth straight North Atlantic Conference title today at the NAC Championships at Maine Maritime Academy. Farmington led the field with 41 points followed by Lyndon (52) and Castleton (69) in the top three.
  • Ballenger earns NAC Rookie honor

    University of Maine at Farmington sophomore runner Victoria Ballenger (Yarmouth, Maine) has been honored as the North Atlantic Conference Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week for the second time this season as announced today by the NAC. Ballenger placed 55th at the State of Maine Championships at Bowdoin. The sophomore turned in a time of 21:36.23 on the 5K course.
  • Women's XC comes in sixth at States

    The University of Maine at Farmington women's cross country team placed sixth at the State of Maine Championships at Bowdoin College. Colby College placed first with 23 points with Bowdoin (36) and Bates College (79) rounding out the top three in the nine-team competition. The Beavers finished with 165 points.
  • Ballenger receives NAC Rookie award

    University of Maine at Farmington sophomore runner Victoria Ballenger (Yarmouth, Maine) has been recognized as the North Atlantic Conference Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week as announced today by the NAC. Ballenger helped the Beavers to the team title at the Runnin' Monks Invitational in Standish with a seventh-place finish. The sophomore turned in a 21:46 finish on the 5K course.
  • Women's XC victorious at Runnin' Monks event

    Caitlin Miller (Pepperell, Mass.) and Salena Sykes (Island Pond, Vt.) finished in the top three to lead the University of Maine at Farmington women's cross country team to the team title at the Runnin' Monks Invitational today at St. Joseph's College. The Beavers recorded 41 points to win the event followed by the host Monks (70), Johnson & Wales University (70), Husson University (86), Lyndon State College (109), Lasell College (117) and Rivier College (188).
  • Huber receives NAC accolades

    University of Maine at Farmington freshman runner Rachel Huber (Bangor, Maine) has been recognized as the North Atlantic Conference Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week as announced today by the NAC. Huber finished 75th at the Codfish Bowl in Boston on Saturday. The freshman finished with a time of 21:57 on the 5K course.

    The University of Maine at Farmington women's cross country team placed 18th at the Codfish Bowl in Franklin Park. Bates College was the top collegiate team with 149 points (Greater Boston Track Club won with 28 points). The Beavers accumulated 470 points.
  • Women's XC places third at UNE

    The University of Maine at Farmington women's cross country team raced to a third-place finish at the University of New England Invitational at Rotary Park. The University of Southern Maine won the event with 42 points followed by the host Nor'Easters (55) and Farmington (77) as the top three in the 11-team event.

    The University of Maine at Farmington women's cross country team placed five runners in the top 10 to win the UMF Invitational today at Mt. Blue High School. The Beavers scored 30 points to edge out the University of New England (39 points). Husson University (62), St. Joseph's College (100), Unity College (161), Maine Maritime (169) and Newbury College (169) rounded out the team scoring.
  • Cross country teams prepared to hit the trails

    The University of Maine at Farmington men's and women's cross country teams are scheduled to open the season Saturday when they host the UMF Invitational at Mt. Blue High School. The Beavers are tabbed to compete against Husson University, University of Maine at Machias, Maine Maritime, University of New England, Newbury College, St. Joseph's College (Me.) and Thomas College at the season-opening invitational. The women's race is scheduled for an 11 a.m. start, followed by the men's event at 11:45 a.m.
  • Women's cross country preseason favorite in NAC

    The defending North Atlantic Conference champion University of Maine at Farmington women's cross country team is favored to win the crown again according to a poll of NAC coaches announced today. Farmington collected five first-place votes and 59 points to outdistance Castleton State College (one first-place vote, 50 points) and Lyndon State College (one first-place vote).
