The growth and development has extended across Athletics, Fitness and Recreation, Mainely Outdoors, the Alpine Operations Certificate, and the Coaching Minor. Recent facilities renovations include a new floor surface in the Fitness and Recreation Center, a new varsity weight room, a renovated gymnasium and lobby, as well as property acquisitions for development of Mainely Outdoors, and enhancements at both Prescott and Robert Leib Fields.

UMF maintains a strong competitive tradition in NCAA DIII athletics, earning 19 North Atlantic Conference championships to date, and now also boasts competitive alpine, Nordic, freeride and snowboard programs through USCSA. Snowsport teams and competitors have also had tremendous success, earning conference championships, Academic All-American honors and two national champions in women’s giant slalom snowboarding. Farmington graduates are well represented in player-of-the-year and scholar-athlete categories. Three alumni have earned the prestigious NCAA postgraduate scholarships for academic and athletic excellence over their careers.

In 2010, Davis was awarded the NCAA Division III Administrator of the Year Award from Women Leaders in College Sports, (NACWAA). She has continued to serve in a leadership role at the conference, regional and sometimes national level, as well as on campus. She was awarded the “Above and Beyond Award” for her contributions to the UMF community in 2019.

Prior to Farmington, Davis amassed 20 years of successful experience in intercollegiate athletics and fitness management. In addition to coaching collegiate women’s basketball, men’s and women’s tennis, field hockey and softball, she served eight  years as the associate athletics director and director of club, intramural, and recreational sports at Carleton College and has been teaching physical education at the collegiate level throughout her professional career.

Davis earned her bachelor’s degree in physical and elementary education from Bethany College in WV, where she graduated cum laude as a three-sport varsity athlete. She obtained her master’s degree in exercise science from Marshall University, WV, and completed the course work and comprehensive exams toward a doctorate in athletic administration at the University of Iowa.
