Box Score JOHNSON, Vt. -- The University of Maine at Farmington men's basketball team charged out to a 23-point first-half command en route to a 62-44 North Atlantic Conference win over Johnson State College tonight.
The Beavers (6-8 overall, 2-2 in NAC) are scheduled to visit Lyndon State College on Saturday at 4 p.m. The Badgers plummeted to 3-9 (0-3).
Farmington held host Johnson State 25 percent shooting in the first half to run out to a 35-13 halftime lead and coasted to the victory.
Farmington forced 12 Johnson turnovers in the first 20 minutes Andrew Dean (Gorham, Maine) canned all three of his 3-point field goal attempts to run to the early cushion and never look back.
Senior Eric Taylor (Oakland, Maine) topped the Beavers with 15 points and six rebounds, while Dean finished with 12 points and freshman Ben Johnson (Manchester, Maine) added nine points and nine rebounds. DJ Gerrish (Rumford, Maine) passed out six assists in the victory.
Johnson saw sophomore Andy Bousono (Philadelphia, Penn.) score nine points to pace the Badgers while Cody Camisa (Colchester, Vt.) and Ian Passino (Peru, N.Y.) scored eight points apiece.
