Box Score

WATERVILLE, Maine – A career high 27-point effort by junior Andrew Dickey (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/Cape Elizabeth) propelled the University of Maine at Farmington to a 94-72 win over Thomas College, in a North Atlantic Conference men's basketball matchup Saturday afternoon at Mahaney Gym.

Dickey was 9-of-15 from the field and 8-of-10 from the foul line against the Terriers, and led a trio of UMF players who cracked the 20-point barrier on Saturday. Junior Ben Johnson (Manchester, Maine/Maranacook) finished with 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the floor, while junior Yusuf Iman (Auburn, Maine/Edward Little) logged 23 points with an 8-of-9 effort from the field including a perfect 3-of-3 from 3-point range.

All three players dished out three assists. Johnson led UMaine-Farmington (10-3, 6-2 NAC) on the boards with 12 rebounds for his seventh double-double of the season.

UMF shot a season high 62.5 percent from the field, making 35 of its 56 field goal attempts, while holding Thomas (5-7, 2-6 NAC) to 33.8 percent shooting.

Jarrad DeVaughn paced Thomas offensively with 14 points, while Stanley Greene chipped in with 12 points. Marquis Pollard led the Terriers on the glass with five boards.

UMF held a 40-39 lead after a first half that offered seven lead changes, and Thomas trailed by just three points, 57-54 with 13:34 remaining in the game, after a DeVaughan layup.

The Beavers replied by scoring on each of their next four trips up the floor while the Terriers would go approximately six minutes without making a bucket. By the Thomas broke its field goal drought on Shaun Munson's jumper with 7:29 showing on the clock, Farmington held a 74-58 lead.

Thomas was a mere 3-of-13 from the field the rest of the way, while UMF extended its lead and held a comfortable 20-point or more lead for most of the final five minutes.

UMaine-Farmington returns home for its next contest on Tuesday, Jan. 15, when it hosts Bowdoin College at 7:00 p.m. at Dearborn Gym.
