Triple Threat of Hilton, Sumner, and Forest-Bulley Lead UMF at Colby-Sawyer

NEW LONDON, N.H. – Three starters scored in double figures for the University of Maine at Farmington (4-14, 3-9) in Saturday afternoon's, 84-70, North Atlantic Conference loss at Colby-Sawyer.

The game was close for the opening 12 minutes as the Beavers kept the game to single digits, only trailing, 30-21. In the final eight minutes of the half, the Chargers exploded with a, 20-9, surge to claim a, 49-29, advantage at the break.

In the final period, the Chargers kept their foot on the gas pedal and built a 25-point lead at the 16:03 mark. UMF turned up the pressure and came as close a 13-point deficit, but CSC's defense held UMF off for the final five and half minutes to claim the team's 10th conference win of the season.

Nick Hilton led the UMF offense with 16 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Pet Sumner scored 15 points on 5-of-13 shooting and hit 3-of-8 from beyond the arc. For the fifth straight game, Uriah Forest-Bulley scored in double figures with 13 points. Colby-Sawyer's Koang Thok shot 5-of-8 from the floor for a game-high 17 points off the bench.

UMaine-Farmington will play its non-conference finale on Tuesday at Bates College. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
