Box Score WATERVILLE, Maine – Nick Hilton's second consecutive 20-point performance was not enough for UMaine-Farmington (4-7, 2-2) to overcome Thomas on Tuesday night, falling 81-73 to the North Atlantic Conference opponent.
Hilton set a new career-high with 24 points on 6-of-15 shooting from the floor and hit a perfect dozen (12-12) from the free throw line. The junior also grabbed eight rebounds. Uriah Forest-Bulley finished a rebound shy of a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds.
Thomas' Levi Barnes stole the show with 30 points as he hit 10-of-14 and 6-of-8 from three-point land to lead all scorers.
The Beavers battled from a 12-point deficit early in the second half and trimmed the lead to as small as three points with two and a half minutes left in the game. In the final two minutes, Thomas scored 10 of the game's last 15 points including 6-for-6 from the charity stripe for the win.
UMaine-Farmington looks to rebound on Friday night as the Beavers host Colby-Sawyer at 7:30p.m.
