Box Score FARMINGTON, Maine – Four Colby-Sawyer (7-3, 5-0) players scored in double figures to keep the Chargers perfect in conference play after Friday night's, 72-55, win over the University of Maine at Farmington (3-8, 2-3) at Dearborn Gymnasium.
The two teams were evenly matched shooting from the floor. CSC shot 41.9% (26-62) as UMF shot a percent better at 42.9% (21-49) and both teams shot 31% from long range. The Chargers defense caused 15 Beaver turnovers and outscored UMF by 16 in points off turnovers.
Nick Hilton recorded a double-double with a team-high 14 points and game-high 11 rebounds. Freshman Michael Atkins set a new career high with 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting in 16 minutes.
Colby-Sawyer's Zach Bean nailed four three-pointers on his way to a game-high 16 points. Wol Monjong was close behind Bean with 14 points.
UMaine-Farmington faces New England College on Saturday afternoon with a 3:00p.m. tip off. Colby-Sawyer travel to Thomas on Saturday in part III of its three-game conference road trip.
