Box Score POULTNEY, Vt. – The number three was on the University of Maine at Farmington's (7-15, 6-9) side with a, 67-43, victory over Green Mountain College on Friday night. The Beavers won their third consecutive game as three starters scored in double figures.
The Beavers never trailed in the contest and opened with a, 12-4, run to take an early lead. At the 6:41 mark, UMF held a, 21-19, lead and finished the half with a, 17-7, scoring surge and took a, 38-26, advantage into the locker room. Farmington held GMC to 1-for-11 shooting beyond the arc and 32.1% (9-28) shooting from the field. UMF shot 15-35 (42.9%) from the field in the opening half.
In the second half, the Beavers never let the Eagles get closer than eight points and continued to force GMC to take the outside shot. The Eagles finished the game 5-for-27 (18.5%) shooting from the perimeter. When the clock hit triple zeros, UMF outscored the Eagles, 40-28, in the paint and 18 points off GMC turnovers compared to surrendered six points off its own turnovers.
Uriah Forest-Bulley led the way with 24 points and eight rebounds. Nick Hilton recorded a pair of dimes for the double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds while Pet Sumner contributed 12 points. Green Mountain's Cameron Anderson led the way for the Eagles with 17 points off the bench.
UMaine-Farmington will travel 15 minutes up the road from Poultney to play Castleton on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
