Box Score LEWISTON, Maine – The University of Maine at Farmington (4-15, 3-9) played its final non-conference game of the season on Tuesday night at Bates College at Alumni Gym. Bates came away with a, 77-64, win over UMF and extended the team's winning streak to four games.
Bates opened the contest on a hot streak and shot 63.0% (17-27) from the field in the first half and held UMF to only 38.5% (10-26) in the opening 20 minutes. At the break, the Bobcats held a, 39-25, advantage as Uriah Forest-Bulley scored 10 of his team-high 20 points in the first half.
The Beavers made 15 free throws in 17 attempts (88.2%) in the second half to fuel a 39-point team second-half performance, but UMF could not generate any defensive stops to gain any ground on the Bobcats' lead.
Uriah Forest-Bulley powered the Beavers with 20 points on 6-of-12 from the floor and 8-of-9 from the line and grabbed eight boards off the glass. Nick Hilton added 14 points and six rebounds. Bates' Mike Boornazian shot 9-of-16 for a game-high 26 points, six rebounds, and four assists.
UMaine-Farmington returns to conference action this weekend with a visit from Lyndon State at 5:30 p.m.
