Box Score Gorham, ME – UMaine-Farmington fell to the University of Southern Maine Tuesday night by a score of 93-65 in a non-conference matchup in Hill Gymnasium.

The Beavers fall to 2-5 overall while the Huskies move to 3-4 overall.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Amir Moss held the top scoring mark for the Beavers with 13 points going 3-9 from the field and 7-8 at the charity stripe. Issac Witham also finished with 13 points going 5-4 inside the arc and 1-4 beyond the arc.
- Riley Robinson notched 10 points while Ryan Camire contributed 12.
- The Beavers finished 33.9 percent from the field, 63.6 percent at the free throw line while tailing 33 rebounds.
- James Starks iii notched game high 18 points shooting 7-15 from the field and held a double-double with 12 rebounds.
- Christian McCue added 16 points while Zach Leal contributed 13.
- The Huskies shot 46.5 percent from the field, 45.8 percent from three and 76.2 percent at the free throw line.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Tied at 17 with 11:57 remaining in the first half, Southern Maine used a game-altering 26-1 run over the next eight minutes and forty seconds to seize control of the game 43-18. The Huskies hit for six three-pointers in the run, led by two a piece from McCue and Scott. UMF closed out the half on a 13-4 run but still trailed by 16, 47-31, heading into the second stanza. Moss had four points in the run for the Beavers.
In the second half, Southern Maine continued to click offensively and opened with a 24-7 in the first six minutes to lead 67-38 with 14:04 to play. McCue had eight points in the run, and Leal had seven. USM remained comfortably ahead the rest of the way and lead by as many as 32 points in the half en route to the win.
