UMF Finishes Up the Weekend

Snowboard/Freeski
The first event of the season wrapped up today with a great weekend of racing for the UMF Snowboard Cross and Freeski Cross student athletes on Sugarloaf Mountains famed Boarder Cross Track. The course, featuring steep drops into sharp banked turns over several spines and jumps rode fast and firm throughout the day. UMF  Junior Snowboarder Connor Dunn finished time trials with a 48:90 followed by Junior Freeskier Vaughn Keenhold with a time of 49.82 and sophomore Snowboarder Whitney LeMay crossing the line with a 54.52. Whitney LeMays strong riding landed her a third place in Open Class Womens Cross while powerhouse Connor Dunn took gold in Men's Jams (18-22) and shifty Vaughn Keenhold grabbed a gold medal in Freeski Men's (19-21).
The UMF Snowboard/Freeski rooster has grown for 2017 and features some committed and talented student athletes who are eager to showcase all their hard work.
