Park Shark Challenge

The first stop of the Park Shark Challenge snowboard and free ski series went down today at Black Mountain of Maine in Rumford. The event featured some insane riding on a creative slopestyle course coupled with the artistic vibes of some Portland Hip Hop legends. The Men's Open Freeski category was loaded with talent throwing tricks with amplitud and style. UMF Junior Freeskier Quinton Fogerty slayed the course with his unique lines and stomped tricks taking home the gold. Isaac Wright and Caleb Marshall earned a silver and bronze respectively boosting big spins off the features. Sophomore Sandy Mait stomped a right side 540 off the jump and backed it up with some sold rail slidinhg to take home gold in womens open freeskiing. Junior UMF snowboarder Connor Dunn pounded out some solid runs to take gold in Mens open snowboarding with Freshman McKinley Goozey close on his heels going big for the silver and Senior Travis St. Pierre grabbing the bronze.
 
The next stop in the Park Shark Callenge will be Saturday 1/28/17 at Titcomb Mountain in Farmington.
