WATERVILLE, Maine - University of Maine at Farmington men's cross country first-year standout Mason Tomboni (Selma, Ind.) has been named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Rookie of the Week for the third time this season, the conference office announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Tomboni continued his torrid rookie season, pacing the Beavers on Saturday at the Keene State Invitational. Tomboni raced to a 27th place finish out of 267 runners and became the second Beaver in program history to break the 26-minute mark in an 8K, finishing the race in 25:58.5. Tomboni averaged 5:13.5 per mile for the event.

Tomboni 27th-place finish helped lead the Beavers to a ninth place finish as a team in the competitive 27-team event.
