High School: Four-year letterwinner at Gorham HS… team captain in her junior and senior seasons… All-Academic Coaches’ Award recipient…  also lettered three years in indoor track and four years in outdoor track.

Hobbies/Activities/Summer Work: Running...hiking...traveling...worked at a summer camp

Personal: Daughter of Brian and Heather Flanders… majoring in elementary education.

Why UMF? "UMF had the feel of home. My grandmother is alum which is how I found out about the school. Once I saw how beautiful the campus was and how everyone in the community is so welcoming, I fell in love with the school.

Post UMF Plans: Exploring the world by teaching abroad, particularily in a french speaking country, then eventually coming back to Maine
