Dan Kane

Former University of Maine at Farmington standout Dan Kane joined the coaching staff prior to the 2012-13 season, after completing his career on the court for the Beavers. Kane will assist head coach Dick Meader with game preparation and recruiting.

Kane finished his three seasons in maroon and white with 306 points and 137 rebounds over his 67 games played. He tallied 231 assists, 117 of those during his senior season when he averaged 5.6 assists per game while leading the Beavers to a 16-11 record. Kane also averaged 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds as a senior, earning a spot on the North Atlantic Conference All-Academic Team. He was also named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court

A native of Bradford, Maine, Kane graduated from Central High School in Corinth, Maine, and attended Husson University for one season (2008-09) prior to transferring to UMaine-Farmington.
