FARMINGTON -- Viktor Nilsson (Linkoping, Sweden) cashed in a pair of penalty kicks to give the University of Maine at Farmington a 2-1 overtime win over Thomas College today in North Atlantic Conference action.

The Beavers (7-4-4 overall, 4-1-1 NAC) are scheduled to close out their regular season Saturday against Maine Maritime at 3:15 p.m.

The scoring in this match came late in the second half. At the 82 minute mark, Keenen Hoedemaker (New Zealand) headed the ball into the net off a Chimdike Okorie (Houston, TX) pass. The ball came off Farmington's goalkeeper after a corner kick.

The Beavers got on the board at the 88 minute mark after a red card in the box for an intentional hand ball. Nilsson took the penalty kick and scored in the top right corner of the net for the 1-1 stalemate.

In overtime, Farmington converted another penalty kick opportunity. Once again, Nilsson took the shot and score in the bottom left corner of the net four minutes into the overtime period for the win.

Tennessee Peters (Scarborough, Maine) made two saves for the Beavers.
