Box Score POULTNEY, Vt. -- Jordan Hale (Falmouth, Maine) tallied a pair of first-half goals just over a minute apart to power the University of Maine at Farmington men's soccer team to a 3-0 victory over Green Mountain College in North Atlantic Conference action today.
The Beavers (2-2-2) are scheduled to visit Castleton State College Sunday. Game time is scheduled for noon.
Hale notches his first with 13:30 remaining in the opening period when he finished from eight yards. Jordan collected a service from the left flank, turning a shot on frame which GMC goalkeeper Nate Kishbaugh (Niskayuna, N.Y.) initial saved, but Hale was quickest to the rebound, slotting home for a 1-0 Beaver lead. Just over a minute later, Hale danced through a pair of GMC defenders and cooling slid home his second past an outstretched Kishbaugh.
The Beavers added a third through Sean Raph (Waterville, Maine) in the 64th when he out-dueled GMC's Ryan Laymon (Ilion, N.Y.) in the box and found the back of the net from inside 12 yards.
The Beavers controlled the tempo of the match throughout, notching 21 shots to the Eagles' eight including a sizable 11-0 advantage over the opening 45 minutes.
Kishbaugh made eight saves for the home side while Tennessee Peters (Sacarborough, Maine) finished with one save in nearly 48 minutes of action before Paul Dupre (Rehoboth, Mass.) relieved him and stopped five attempts.
