FARMINGTON -- The University of Maine at Farmington and Maine Maritime Academy battled to a 0-0 stalemate in non-conference men's soccer action today at Ritchie Field.

The Beavers (0-1-1) are scheduled to visit Bates College Sept. 14 at 4:30 p.m. The Mariners stand at 1-0-1.

Maine Maritime held a slight edge in shots (21-20). Farmington got off six bids in the extra time to the Mariners' three.

Tennessee Peters (Scarborough, Maine) stopped nine shots for the Beavers.

Jeff Butland (Cumberland, Maine) made six saves for the Mariners.
