Box Score FARMINGTON, Maine -- The University of Maine at Farmington men's soccer team capped its regular season with a 3-0 North Atlantic Conference victory over Thomas College this afternoon at Prescott Field.
The Beavers (9-7 overall, 6-3 NAC) and Terriers (10-6, 5-4) await the NAC postseason seedings.
Nick Grim (Ipswich, Mass.), Sean Raph (Waterville, Maine) and Luiz Ristow (Joinville, Brazil) each scored a goal for UMF.
Raph opened the scoring at 21:27 off a Jordan Hale (Falmouth, Maine) pass. Hale's cross was touched by Thomas keeper Mikkhail Crockwell (St. David's, Bermuda), but Raph put in the loose ball for a 1-0 lead. The Terriers outshot UMF 9-4 in the opening half, but Raph's marker held up at intermission for a 1-0 edge for the hosts.
Grim expanded the advantage to 2-0 at 51:27 when he worked his way through two Thomas defenders to rip a shot out of the reach of Thomas' Winston Trott. Ristow punctuated the victory with an unassisted marker at 87:13 for the 3-0 final.
Derek Reilly (Hollis, N.H.) recorded five saves to secure the shutout win. Reilly's five stops all came in the second half. Each team fired off 12 shots in the match.
Crockwell made a pair of saves over the first 51 minutes for the Terriers. Trott stopped one shot in relief.
