Box Score

FARMINGTON, Maine -- The University of Maine at Farmington men's soccer team capped its regular season with a 3-0 North Atlantic Conference victory over Thomas College this afternoon at Prescott Field.

The Beavers (9-7 overall, 6-3 NAC) and Terriers (10-6, 5-4) await the NAC postseason seedings.

Nick Grim (Ipswich, Mass.), Sean Raph (Waterville, Maine) and Luiz Ristow (Joinville, Brazil) each scored a goal for UMF.

Raph opened the scoring at 21:27 off a Jordan Hale (Falmouth, Maine) pass. Hale's cross was touched by Thomas keeper Mikkhail Crockwell (St. David's, Bermuda), but Raph put in the loose ball for a 1-0 lead. The Terriers outshot UMF 9-4 in the opening half, but Raph's marker held up at intermission for a 1-0 edge for the hosts.

Grim expanded the advantage to 2-0 at 51:27 when he worked his way through two Thomas defenders to rip a shot out of the reach of Thomas' Winston Trott. Ristow punctuated the victory with an unassisted marker at 87:13 for the 3-0 final.

Derek Reilly (Hollis, N.H.) recorded five saves to secure the shutout win. Reilly's five stops all came in the second half. Each team fired off 12 shots in the match.
