Box Score FARMINGTON, Maine -- Trevor Kotrady scored to give the Castleton State College men's soccer team a 1-0 overtime victory over the University of Maine at Farmington in North Atlantic Conference play this afternoon at Prescott Field.
The Beavers, who dropped to 5-5 overall and 3-2 in the NAC, are slated to host Green Mountain College Sunday at 2:15 p.m. The Spartans (7-4-1, 4-0) travel to Thomas College Sunday for a 2:15 p.m. match.
Kotrady's game-winner came off a pass from John Kendall 5:21 into overtime.
Castleton keeper Nate Koenemann survived three corner kicks and a pair of shots from the Beavers over the final 1:30 of regulation as bids by Luiz Ristow (Joinville, Brazil) and Jordan Hale (Falmouth, Maine) were snubbed by Koenemann, who finished with two saves. He also benefitted from a defender booting away a Hale shot in the first half.
Derek Reilly (Hollis, N.H.) finished with four saves for UMF, which was outshot 13-7.
