Beavers stumble at Saint Joseph's, drop to 2-3

STANDISH, Maine -- The University of Maine at Farmington men's soccer team slipped to 2-3 on the season with a 3-0 loss to Saint Joseph's College of Maine in non-conference action this afternoon.

The Beavers are scheduled to face Lyndon State College Saturday in North Atlantic Conference action. Game time is set for 1 p.m. The game is scheduled to be streamed live on Northeast Sports Network.

Joe Murphy knocked in a rebound at 36:03 to get the Monks a 1-0 lead at intermission. Zach Johnson scored off a throughball from Teddy Palmer to padded St. Joe's advantage to 2-0 at 51:23.

Ross Suleski tacked on an unassisted goal at 64:17 for the 3-0 final.

Tennessee Peters recorded eight saves for the Beavers, who were outshot 24-13 in the match.

Robert Petrosillo came away with six saves for the Monks.
