FARMINGTON, Maine -- Colby College defeated the University of Maine at Farmington 3-0 in men's soccer action today at Prescott Field.  Colby improved to 3-2 with the win while UMF drops to 3-4.

Jon Stronach(Concord, MA) put Colby on the scoreboard at the 28:03 mark of the first half with an assist from Nick Aubin(Simsbury, CT).  Aubin set up Nate Tolman(Scarborough, ME) with just under thirty minutes remaining in the second half to give the Mules a 2-0 advantage.   Stronach found the net a second time at the 78:17 mark of the second half with the assist coming from Andrew Woonton(Boxford, MA). 

Colby goalies Peter Quayle(Lincoln, MA) and Josh Richards(Newton, MA) preserved the shutout for the Mules.  UMF keeper Derek Reilly(Hollis, NH) made 7 stops for the Beavers.

Colby out shot the Beavers 18-1 and had a 9-0 advantage in corner kicks.  The Mules return to action on Wednesday when they host the University of Southern Maine.  UMF travels to NAC opponent Colby-Sawyer on Saturday.
