FARMINGTON, Maine – The University of Maine at Machias scored twice in the last 20 minutes of play and posted a 2-1 win over the University of Maine at Farmington, in non-conference men's soccer action Sunday at Prescott Field.

UMaine-Farmington (1-13-0) jumped out to a lead in the 64th minute, as senior Nick Grim (Ipswich, Mass./Ipswich) battled through the UMaine-Machias (14-3-0) defense and beat Clipper keeper Luis Herrera with a blast from just inside the 18-yard box.

The UMF lead lasted all of about 10 minutes, as UMaine-Machias responded with Frank Zeba's goal in the 75th minute. Olaf Alexis Mina sent a cross through the box from the left side, and Zeba sailed in from the right to finish the play.

The Clippers tacked on an insurance goal in the 79th minute, when Tyler Troup found his own rebound at close range and put a shot past UMF keeper Paul Dupre (Rehoboth, Mass./Xaverian Brothers).

UMaine-Machias had a 19-10 advantage in total shots, with an 8-4 edge in shots on goal. Dupre finished the day with six saves, while Herrara charted three stops in the UMM goal. The Clippers also had a slight lead in corner kick opportunities, 5-4.
