UMF men's soccer and Lyndon play to 0-0 draw

FARMINGTON, Maine – The University of Maine at Farmington men's soccer team played Lyndon State College for 110 minutes, but neither team was able to find the back of the net in a 0-0 double overtime tie in Tuesday's North Atlantic Conference match at Prescott Field.

Lyndon State (0-4-1, 0-0-1 NAC) outshot UMaine-Farmington (1-1-1, 0-0-1 NAC) by a count of 19 to 14, but the Beavers managed seven of those shots on goal to the Hornets' six. Farmington keeper Derek Reilly charted six saves in the contest, while Lyndon State's Jason Marks recorded seven.

Lyndon State enjoyed a 6-3 advantage in corner kick opportunities. UMF was whistled offsides on seven occasions, while Lyndon State was called for four.

UMaine-Farmington returns to the pitch on Saturday, Sept. 21, when it travels to Bangor to face Husson University. Lyndon State's schedule also continues on Saturday when the Hornets host Thomas College.
