Pomerleau Keeps Women's Hoops Perfect in Conference Play with Win Over Thomas

Box Score

WATERVILLE, Maine – Reigning North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Week Kelly Pomerleau scored a game-high 16 points in Tuesday night's, 72-51, conference victory at Thomas College.

UMaine-Farmington stays perfect (4-6, 4-0) in conference play with Tuesday's victory and marks best conference start since the 2008-09 season when the Beavers opened the season with seven conference wins.

Three Beavers scored in double figures for the second consecutive game. Pomerleau's night was thanks in large part to her outside game. The freshman guard shot 5-of-10 from the floor, but 4-of-5 from beyond the three-point arc. Pomerleau also grabbed five rebounds. Senior Lindsay Ranquist added 13 points, grabbed four rebounds, and dished three assists. Sophomore Kennadi Grover contributed and five rebounds off the bench.

Like UMF, the Terriers had three players in double figures as well. Ashleigh Gagne and Sarah Pepin led the team with 11 points apiece. Katie McAllister added 10 points, including a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw stripe.

UMaine-Farmington returns home on Friday night to face NAC opponent Colby-Sawyer at 5:30p.m.
