Box Score NASHUA, N.H. – A late second half goal gave Daniel Webster College (12-3) a 1-0 non-conference win over the University of Maine at Farmington (4-8-2) men's soccer team on Saturday afternoon at Eagle Field.
Marcus Vieira Filho scored the game's only goal in the 59th minute. Filho's eventual game-winner came off an Ian Hutchinson pass play and Filho sent a low rocket to the right back post for his team-leading eighth goal of the season.
Despite the low score, the Beavers' defense was busy all afternoon as the Eagles fired 36 shots their way.
Goalie Matt Wilson set a career-high with 13 saves and kept his composure by only surrendering the one goal.
UMaine-Farmington returns to conference play on Tuesday at Husson.
