Box Score DEERING, Maine – The University of Maine at Farmington (5-9-2) men's soccer team wrapped up non-conference play on Thursday night with a 2-0 shutout loss to the University of Southern Maine (2-11-1) at Deering High School.
The Huskies landed the first blow only two minutes into the game. Ahmed Adnan sent a cross from the right wing and Jay McStowe jumped up and landed the header from about 15 yards out.
The lone goal stood until the Huskies added to their scoreboard total with five minutes and change remaining in the game. After USM took a corner kick, Adnan recorded another assist after he landed a cross from the left wing to Justin Pierce, who just got a body on the ball for the goal.
In his first-career appearance in net, Chandler Bridge saved a pair of shots for the Beavers.
UMaine-Farmington wraps up the regular season on Saturday at home versus Lyndon State.
