Beavers Can't Rebound from Chargers' Big First Half

NEW LONDON, N.H. – The University of Maine at Farmington men's soccer team (3-4-1, 1-1-1) surrendered three first half goals in Saturday's 3-0 loss at Colby-Sawyer College in North Atlantic Conference action.

The Chargers jumped out to an early lead in the first ten minutes of the contest. Denali Sexton caused a UMF turnover and then scored on the breakaway in the fourth minute. Sexton added his second score of the game nearly five minutes later. Anthony Romeo sent a cross in the box and Sexton booted the pass into the back of the net.

Bryce Schultz charted the final goal of the game in the 29th minute with Sexton dishing the assist.

Matt Wilson saved five shots in the conference meeting.

UMaine-Farmington travels to New England College on Sunday to continue conference play.
