Box Score HENNIKER, N.H. – The University of Maine at Farmington (3-5-1, 1-2-1) men's soccer team had a difficult time stopping the New England College (8-6-0, 2-3-0) offense on Sunday with a 7-0 loss in North Atlantic Conference action at Don Melander Field.
The Pilgrims notched two unassisted goals in the first half with the first goal coming in the 14th minute from Ronsard Masamba. Rizy Misiri added the final goal of the half with a minute and a half remaining.
New England College blew the game open with five second half scores with three of them coming in the first 10 minutes of the final period. Michael Skarbelis recorded a hat trick for the Pilgrims.
Matt Wilson (Hampden, Conn./Hampden) saved six shots for the Beavers between the pipes. Senior Chris Roberts (Arundel, Maine/Thornton Academy) stepped in for the final fifteen minutes of the game in relief and did not relinquish a goal.
UMaine-Farmington returns home on Wednesday against non-conference opponent UMaine-Machias.
