Strong First Half Pushes Terriers Past Beavers

FARMINGTON, Maine- University of Maine at Farmington men's soccer (2-7-0, 0-3-0) fell short at Thomas College (5-2-1, 4-0-0) on Saturday.  The Terriers would score three unanswered goals in the first half to get the North Atlantic Conference victory.

Thomas sophomore forward Adam LaBrie would score a hat trick for the Terriers.  LaBrie scored his first goal in the 13th minute of the first half, coming off a pass from London Steede-Jackson.  LaBrie didn't wait long to get his second goal, just 26 seconds later on a double assist from DJ Nicholas and Willie Clemons.  The trio would hook up again in the 31st minute to give Thomas a 3-0 lead at the break.

UMF would tighten the defensive pressure in the second half, giving up only six shots.

Tristen Price (Moultonborough, N.H./Moultonborough Academy) led the Beavers charge putting up three shots. Ronnie Morales (Houston, Texas/George W. Hewlett) had a good day in cage with four saves.

UMaine-Farmington travels to University of New England on Tuesday before returning to conference play next weekend.
