Box Score FARMINGTON, Maine- University of Maine at Farmington men's soccer (4-9-0, 2-4-0) took down Johnson State College (2-11-0, 1-6-0) to win back to back conference games. The Beavers scored a goal in both halves to take the 2-0 victory on Saturday.
In the first half, Nick Marshall (Portsmouth, R.I./Portsmouth) scored at 6:24 to give the Beavers the early lead. Marshall would take a crossing pass from Ethan Stufoso (South Portland, Maine/South Portland) and fire it into the back of the net, giving the Beavers a 1-0 lead at the break.
UMF would pressure their offensive end for the majority of the second half but were unable to convert on its opportunities until Jon Randolph (Buckfield, Maine/Buckfield) took a pass from Robbie Paddack (Clinton, Maine/Lawrence) and scored his first career goal for the final margin of victory.
Ronie Morales (Houston, Texas/George W. Hewlett) saved all five shots he faced to earn the win in goal. Garrit Lane turned away 11 shots in the loss for the Badgers.
UMF held a 30-7 advantage in shots and 6-2 in corners.
UMaine-Farmington travels to Maine Maritime on Tuesday for a 7pm game. Johnson State will host Castleton.
