Box Score Henniker, N.H. – UMaine-Farmington fell to New England College on Saturday afternoon by a score of 3-1 on Don Melander Field in the last weekend of regular season action in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC).
BY THE NUMBERS
NEC held the advantage in shots with 21 to Farmington's 10 while UMF had eight saves to the Pilgrims two. The Beaves had four corner kicks as NEC had three.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The game was tied at half as each team could not gain an edge. The Pilgrims got on the board first in the second half when Michael Skarbelis scored his 12th goal of the year after Cooper Valinski passed the ball into the middle through the defense.
Luke Dwornick scored for the Beavers after a free ball at the top of the box. Valinski scored about 10 minutes later for the Pilgrims after Chris Morse made some moves to find an open passing lane.
Late in the second half, Valonski found the back of the net for the last goal of the game that gave the Pilgrims the 3-1 lead.
