POULTNEY, Vt. – University of Maine at Farmington women's basketball team downed Green Mountain College 60-38 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) match-up on Friday night at the Eagle Dome.

UMF (4-15, 4-9) led from wire-to-wire as the visitors jumped out to a quick 14-3 lead after the teams traded three-pointers to open the scoring.  The Beavers added six points to counter the Eagles' five to close out the first quarter with a 20-8 lead. Sarah Lamb led the way for UMF with six points, while Taylor Hill matched that output for the Eagles. 

The pace slowed down in the second period with the visitors outscoring the hosts 13-9 to send the teams into the break with the Beavers leading 33-17. Lamb and Kennadi Grover each tallied four points while Suzanna Moses struck for six for the Eagles. 

UMF outscored GMC 27-21 in the second half to close out the win. 

Grover led all players with 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting for the Beavers. Lamb contributed 10 points, while Jenessa Talarico and Paige Carter each scored six. Carter and Abby Hasson led the team in rebounding collecting eight caroms each while Hasson and Talarico each tallied four assists. 

GMC (0-18, 0-13 NAC) received 11 points from Moses to lead the team. Rideout hit for nine points, while Hill contributed eight on top of her game-high 14 rebounds and four steals. Laney Trammell led the reserves with five points and seven rebounds. 

Green Mountain and UMF will both play the second game of a doubleheader Saturday at 3:30 p.m. The Eagles will host Thomas while the Beavers travel to Castleton.
