Pats Peak, NH - The men's alpine team made its first ever debut in the USCSA MacConnell Division. 

RESULTS

The men faced tough course conditions with freshly made snow in the past 24 hrs paired with great but challenging course sets. Big ruts and a new race venue posed a tough match for the men's team.  Captain Jed Stevens led the men after the first run with a 20th place finish.  Stevens went for a strong move during the 2nd run but ended up falling short with a DNF. 

Freshman Axel Lindsay wasn't far behind after the first run with a 28th place result.  Lindsay made a strong move after 2nd run finishing 22nd overall. Curtis Paradis rounded out the men's team top 3 with a 26th place finish overall.  Paradis made a hard-charging move from 33rd  to round out the men's top three.  Ben Higgins finished 43rd overall, facing challenging late start position in the 2nd run. Kyle Farrington came out of the gates very strong 1st run but struggled to find the finish line with a stacked course set late in the run.  Deep ruts and a late start position gave Farrington a 29th place finish for the 2nd run. 

The coach said, "It was a great experience for the men to travel outside our division and compete against the best skiers in the east for Div. II-III." "The men have some work to do in rougher course conditions, but are not discouraged for tomorrows MacConnell Division GS at Ragged."
