Presque Isle, Maine – UMaine-Farmington women's basketball team was edged out by UMaine-Presque Isle in the Beavers North Atlantic Conference opener by a final score of 46-41.

BY THE NUMBERS

• The Beavers shot 21.2% from the floor, 6.7% from behind the arc and 60% at the free throw line while notching 54 rebounds, five assists, six steals, and four blocks.
• The Owls shot 24.6% from the floor, 27.3% from behind the arc and 65% at the free throw line to go with 41 rebounds, three assists, 19 steals, and four blocks on the night.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• McKenna Brodeur led the Beavers in scoring with 11 points with five rebounds and one assist while Morgan Crocker added eight points.
• Paige Carter added six points while Molly Folsom also added six points.
• Rhylee Wright finished with 11 points while Emmy Churchill added 10 points.
• Marissa Reagle also added 10 points with 12 steals.
