Beavers Edge Out NVU-Lyndon in Final Minutes

Farmington, Maine – The Beavers took the court at Dearborn on Saturday to play the University of Vermont-Lyndon Hornets. The Hornets rallied towards the end of the game, but the Beavers stayed strong and pulled out the victory 62-57! 

In the Box:

  • Alex Bessey led the charge for the Beavers, scoring a game-high 16 points. Bessey was in attack mode all day, going 10-12 from the free-throw line. She also had five rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.
  • Molly Folsom finished with double figures as well for the Beavers, scoring 10 points. Folsom shot 3-8 from the field and racked up seven rebounds.
  • McKenna Brodeur provided a spark for the Beavers off the bench, also putting up 10 points. Along with the scoring, Brodeur hauled in six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
  • Lea Crompton was the high point scorer for the Hornets with 15 points. Crompton was all over the floor, tallying six rebounds, four steals, and three assists. Shaylan Mosher contributed with nine points for the Hornets, shooting 3-11 from the floor.

The Beavers next game is Wednesday, January 22nd, where they will travel to Colby College to take on the Mules. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
