Strong Second Half Pushes Beavers Past Terriers

Waterville, ME – The UMaine Farmington Beavers and the Thomas Terriers played a thrilling North Atlantic Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon. The Terriers built a lead in the first half, but the Beavers stormed back in the second half to take the win 58-53!

In the Box:

  • Alex Bessey was the high point scorer for the Beavers, finishing with 17 points and going 5-11 from the floor. Bessey remained aggressive throughout the game, getting to the free-throw line eight times and making six shots.
  • Page Brown was the next highest scorer for the Beavers, finishing with 10 points and shooting 4-5 from the floor. McKenna Brodeur finished with eight points and was a monster on the boards, racking up a game-high 12 rebounds.
  • Molly Folsom had a strong all-around game for the Beavers as well. Folsom finished with eight points, seven rebounds, and two steals. One of which was the game-sealing steal at the end of the fourth quarter.
  • Karli Stubbs led the Terriers with an 18 point, 10 rebound double-double. Addie Brinkman followed with 10 points and six rebounds.

 

Up Next:

The Beavers will travel to Husson University on Friday, January 31st for a matchup against the Eagles. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
