Farmington, Maine – On Saturday afternoon, The University of Maine at Farmington Women's basketball team battled the Northern Vermont University-Johnson Badgers in the quarterfinals of the North Atlantic Conference playoffs. The Beavers were in attack mode all game, pushing the ball in transition converting to easy buckets and open looks! Along with some stifling defense, the Beavers came out victorious 87-54.

In the Box

• McKenna Brodeur kicked off the postseason with her sixth double-double of the season. Brodeur had 23 points on 9-16 shooting and 11 rebounds. Brodeur filled up the box score with two assists, three steals, and four blocks for a solid all-around performance.
• Alex Bessey finished with 15 points on 6-10 shooting for the Beavers. Bessey's stat line included three rebounds, two assists, and a perfect 3-3 from the free-throw line.
• Makayla Wilson put up 13 points on an efficient 5-6 shooting, as well as a perfect 2-2 from the three-point line. Page Brown added 12 points of her own, which made four Beaver starters reach double figures in scoring! Brown also had eight rebounds, including a game-high five offensive rebounds.
• Ellery Kiefer was the high point scorer for the NVU-Johnson Badgers with 20 points on 8-13 shooting. Kiana Johnson finished with 11 points and Alexandra Barry had 10 points for the Badgers.

The UMF Women's team will move on to the semifinals of the NAC playoffs, squaring off against the Maine Maritime Academy Mariners. Tip-off is scheduled for this Friday night at 7:30 p.m. on the campus of Husson University.
