Box Score FARMINGTON, Maine - UMaine-Farmington Women's Basketball hosted the first competitive game in almost a year at Dearborn Gymnasium on Saturday evening. UMF battled with the Mariners from Maine Maritime for four quarters with the guest coming out on top 78-63.
INSIDE THE BOX
- McKenna Brodeur led the Beavers with a team-high 10 points and pulled down 13 rebounds and added three assists on the night
- Page Brown and Alex Bessey both added 9 points, Brown was a perfect 5-5 for the charity stripe and added 8 rebounds. Bessey grabbed three boards and dished out three assists
- Tia Day dropped in 9 points off the bench and Ally O'Brien also contributed eight points.
- Lauren Plissey scored a game-high 16 points for MMA, shooting 6 for 8 from the field, 4 for 4 from the line. Plissey also led the Mariners with 11 rebounds, four steals, and three block shots.
- Kali Barber scored 10 points off the bench for MMA in the victory
HOW IT HAPPENED
- MMA lead 38-31 at the half and outscored UMF 40-32 in the second half for the 15 point final.
- MMA shot 43% from the field while UMF shot 36%
- The Beavers outrebounded the Mariners 50-40 but lost the turnover battle 28-19.

UMF will travel to Husson University Saturday, March 6th for a 1 pm tip-off to complete their season. MMA will host the University of Maine at Presque Isle Saturday, March 27th at 5:00 pm.
