Bangor, Maine - The University of Maine at Farmington Women's Cross Country team finished seventh today at the Maine State Championship hosted by Husson University. The Beavers accumulated 199 points in their seventh place effort. 

The Beavers were led on the course by sophomore Charlotte Wentworth (Sidney, Maine) who finished the 5k race in 20:13, good for 45th place and the 9th fastest 5k in UMaine-Farmington program history. Sophomore Anna MacDonald (Bangor, Maine) finished right behind Wentworth as she finished in 20:20.2 and placed 49th on the day. The finish from MacDonald was the 10th fastest in program history for the Beavers. 

Eve Poteet (Fairhill, Maryland) finished in 75th place in 21:59, Kaylee-Mae Durgin (Dover-Foxcroft, Maine) placed 84th in 22:48, Angie Tehuitzil (Northglenn, Colo.) was 90th with a time of 23:07.8, Emily Eaton (Hampton, N.H.) finished in 23:26.6 for 94th place, and Sarah Chapin (Readfield, Maine) came in 102nd with a 24:36.9 finish.

Bates College took first place at the meet as they had seven of the top ten finishers, including five of the top six. Jillian Richardson of Bates College finished the 5k in 17:48 to claim first place.
